What is it?

NVDASD, which stands for NVDA Snapshot Downloader, is a small utility which helps you to keep up with the latest NVDA snapshots. With it you can easily check if a new snapshot is available and download it instantly.

NVDASD features:

• Reasonably small, fast and lightweight
• Easy to use interface
• Can display the installed version and the newest revision number
• You can select between installer and portable versions
• Can automatically close the active screen reader (JAWS, HAL, Supernova, Window eyes or System Access) before the installer starts.
• Can delete automatically the downloaded snapshot installer.
• Fully portable: All the settings are stored in NVDASD's directory and no runtime libraries are required.
• Multilingual interface: NVDASD has been translated to 9 languages!
• Unicode compatible

NVDASD 2.0.3 has just been released.

• Added an option to specify which branch to use to the ini file.
• Added Russian and Bulgarian translations.
• Fixed the wrong change log url.

Moved the site to a new host. Also added NVDASD 2.0.2 and removed older versions since they do not work anymore.

I have released NVDASD 2.0.1. This update fixes the problem that NVDASD couldn't download new snapshots because of the changed URL. NVDA is now also automatically closed when the 'close screen reader' box is ticked. The post-2.0 translations are included in this release.

Translations

Here are all the translations created by the NVDASD users. To use the translation, download the file and put it in the NVDASD's lang directory. Then open NVDASD and press 'Choose language'.
